In 2005, Los Angeles-based artist and designer Josué Thomas founded the art and design collective Gallery Dept Clothing Brand. Reinterpreting vintage garments into iconic streetwear under the motto “collaborate, create, and rebel”, the brand and creative art project are dedicated to promoting collaboration, creation, and rebellion. Hand-screen printing and distressing processes are carried out at the label’s Los Angeles showroom and studio, which gives the products an extremely cool look without compromising the artist’s vision.

The pieces by Mr. Josué Thomas are meant to look like they just stepped out of the studio, so it’s hard not to spot paint splatters on any Gallery Dept Clothing brand that he designs.
